Scholarships Light the Torch of the Future

The Turkish Education Association has awarded scholarships to about 46.000 students since its inception. It offers four different types of scholarships to successful students with insufficient financial means.

Support Scholarships

Support scholarships have been awarded to nearly 46 thousand students by the Turkish Education Association since the date of its foundation. Considered inadequate under the current circumstances, these scholarships are no longer offered. However, students who are already entitled to this scholarship continue to receive the support until they graduate.

Committed to investing in the leaders of the future, the Turkish Education Association currently offers Full Education, Full Support and Talent-Based Scholarship Programs.

Full Education Scholarships

The Full Education Scholarship program was initiated in the 2003-2004 academic year to be awarded to "successful students in financial need". Students are entitled to receive this scholarship based on their success in written/oral examinations and on home visits by specialists from the Turkish Education Association.
Students who are eligible for the scholarship receive education as day students if there are TED schools in their home province, otherwise they are sent as boarding students to TED Karabuk or TED Polatli high schools.
A full Education Scholarship covers the entire range of student expenses from tuition fees to books, stationery, transportation, food, clothing and housing until the end of university education. In addition, education specialists and psychologists make sure that the
scholarship students successfully adapt to their new lives. Their academic success as well as their social and psychological development are closely monitored by specialists from the Association.

Full Support Scholarships

Initiated in the 2005-2006 academic year, the Full Support Scholarship program is designed for "successful students in financial need" who receive education in state schools in their home province.

Students are entitled to receive this scholarship based on their success in written/oral examinations and on home visits by specialists from the Turkish Education Association.

A full Support Scholarship covers the students' expenses for books, stationery and clothing as well as their pocket money all through their university education. Our specialists monitor the academic success as well as the social and psychological development of the students.
Students within the Full Education and Full Support Scholarship programs are supported until the end of their undergraduate education at university provided that they continue to satisfy the scholarship criteria.

Talent-Based Scholarships

Talent-based scholarships are awarded to students of extraordinary talent who have achieved national/international success in fields such as sports, music, painting, and science.
