"Torches of Education"

"Torches of Education" are inviduals or organizations undertaking to offer financial and moral support to students who have been succesful in written/oral examinations but do not have sufficient financial means to continue their education.

Since the day it was established, the Turkish Education Association has always been aware that education does not only consist of schooling and that it is possible to attain the level of contemporary civilization only through high-quality education combined with healthy social and cultural training.

Unity, solidarity, and a common goal, in addition to the support provided by individuals and/or organizations, are of vital importance on the road to modernization. Every step taken on this road will contribute to the foundations of a civilized country with a bright future.

With a leading initiative distinguishing its scholarship programs from similar systems, the Turkish Education Association makes it possible for the scholarship donors and recipients to come together. Thus, the "Torches of Education" and the "Young Torches" can create a more powerful source of light to brighten up the future of Turkey.

Every individual, lighting a "torch" to support these students with his/her donations, is in fact removing the first obstacle to a successful future for them. Hence, "today's torches of education" are providing the means for the cultivation of "tomorrow's torches of education".

Each individual or organization deciding to become a "Torch of Education," makes it possible for his/her children to live in a country with a more brilliant future.
